The Mayflower Has Landed!

This year Graydon learned the tradition of Thanksgiving. His school had a feast where the classes dressed as Pilgrims and Indians - the Indians brought the food and Pilgrims set the table. They dined on traditional Thanksgiving dinner, which included deli turkey meat, canned green beans, white bread, applesauce, sliced cheese and rice krispy treats! :-) They had a great time feasting with friends and learning the true meaning of Thanksgiving!

A Few Halloween Pics

G as a Storm Trooper ready to fill his bucket with candy!
Making a Halloween craft in front of a red "slug-bug"...We play the "slug-bug" game everywhere we go!
Digging out the pumpkin goo/guts! G was not a fan of this job because the goo smelled so bad!
Our prized pumpkin! We worked hard on this one and it turned out really cool!

Spirit of a Storm

There's a spirit of a storm in my soul A restlessness that I can't seem to tame Thunder and lightning follow everywhere I go There's a spirit of a storm in my soul. There's a hurricane that's raging through my blood I can't find a way to calm the sea Maybe I'll find someday the waters aren't so rushed Right they've got the best of me. And oh, it's been a long, long time Since I had real peace of mind So I am just gonna sit right here In this old chair until this storm rolls by. Oh, maybe it's just the way I am Maybe I won't ever change So I'm just gonna sit right here In this old chair and just soak up the rain. There's a spirit of a storm in my soul Every time I think it's gone away Dark clouds gather, that old wind begins to blow The sun's going to shine someday I hope There's a spirit of a storm in my soul...in my soul. - Kenny Chesney Album: Lucky Old Sun Song: Spirit of a Storm *To hear the song, Google "Spirit of a Storm by Kenny Chesney, You Tube" and you should find a link. My computer skills are not savy enough to have the song playing in the background! :-) Right now, I am still soaking up the rain. Someone once said to "plant your own garden and decorate your own soul, instead of waiting for someone else to bring you flowers." So, I will. And, when the sun does shine, I can only imagine the flowers!
